Alkaline solution as a control of Botrytis cinerea, Rhizopus stolonifer, Salmonella spp. and Escherichia coli growth in strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa)

Post-harvest treatments of fruits and vegetables can help to reduce the attack microorganisms especially presence pathogenic microorganisms. Alkaline water solutions were used control growth Botrytis cinerea, Rhizopus stolonifer, Salmonella spp. Escherichia coli in strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa). Strawberries inoculated with afterwards immersed alkaline pH 11, 12 13. In vitro microbiological analyses evaluate after fruit immersion solutions, while disc diffusion method was study inhibition microorganism growth. According results, at 13 be utilized cinerea stolonifer strawberries. The strawberries for 60 min allowed development coli.
